Such a great itinerary which took in the sights of Kigali, Lake Kivu, Nyungwe National park and the amazing gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park. Jeremiah was the perfect host for the trip. They were able to tailor a tour for me as a solo traveler, where I saved a significant amount by going by bus rather than taking a private car, which is expensive for just one person.And the gorilla trek in DRC was truly unique and a once in a lifetime experience.Posted onVerified The best way to see Rwanda We had an outstanding experience with African Unique! It was one of the smoothest and easiest trips we've taken in terms of planning, we were very well taken care of throughout our trip, and our guide Rukundo Jean Pierre aka JP was helpful and fun all throughout. Spent at total 5 days, visiting Kigali, Virunga and Lake Kivu.Chris Swaib was our guide - very professional, punctual, cordial, dedicated and knowledgeable / intellectual:- During the trip, we have a significant amount of time to learn from Chris about the local culture, economy, history, education, challenges, among others - he was just able to discuss with deepness every topic- Chris was very dedicated to "solve our problems". As an example, he borrowed me his own shoes to allow me visiting the Gorilas in more safety (as I wasn't wearing appropriate shoes)- Moreover, the overall trip was very smooth, with Chris driving us safely everywhere.The trip in Rwanda as a whole was very interesting, beautiful, and mind opening. A guide can make or break your adventure and we had the best guide, Gordon. He is a local guy that knows his way around. He went over and above our expectations to be sure we had the best experience. The country emerges from a such a history and they are achieving so much. The hotels we stayed at had excellent service and the landscape is amazing. Its an inspiration for African development. The tours were great, as well as the gorrila's and the little we saw of what the people are striving for, it also has an island between DRC and Rwanda that is independent and has tours to it too. Just hope that it remains on the path to development as its landlocked, and that AU, UN and such bodies can do something about the DRC that needs to resolve its own problems so Rwanda can hopefully liase with them to share forest space as DRC is +- 90 times bigger.Posted onVerified Flawless experience for a bucket list trip Definitely Gorilla experience. Also loved our guides Jean Marie and Jeremiah. The level of hospitality is on another level. All comforts are seen to both in the vehicle and the lodges chosen by this fantastic company. I'd definitely do a trip with them again having learnt what I have from my time with Jean Marie and Jeremiah. Attention to detail is unbelievable down to the last second of the trip.
