Faith Foundation

Faith Uwantege left her job at the age of 23 to start Faith Foundation. Her inspiration bears its roots from the streets of Kinigi where Faith constantly saw vulnerable children at risk every where she walked with no hope for tomorrow. She then made a decision to use her own savings to see her dream come true.

Our Story

“We believe that poverty in childhood is a root cause of poverty in adulthood” says the Founder. Faith Foundation is breaking this poverty cycle, by helping the absolute poorest of the poor; we can make the greatest impact on society. aThe Foundation has pioneered an initiative that has seen children being sponsored to pursue education, empowering themselves and creating their own future, and increasing capacities of widows to actively generate income to support themselves and their children and actively participate in community development.

Volunteer at Faith Foundation

Faith Foundation welcomes volunteers, both local and international. We are a few people with a few resources. We need more people to join us in order to reach more people.

You can take a few days, weeks, months, or years volunteering with us as you invest your skills and talents in the work that we do. These women & children need your love, care skills and talent, and any practical output in the he ﬁeld can tremendously change a life.

Educate Bwindi

Educate Bwindi is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit dedicated to educating the most vulnerable children of Bwindi, Uganda. We work closely with the Bwindi Watoto School, the highest performing school for primary education in the area. We support the school through sponsorships of the children and donations that help purchase everything from textbooks and blankets to goats. We also help with financial and strategic planning as well as problem solving.
