Day 1 - Arrive Victoria Falls/Gorges River

You will be picked up from Victoria Falls Airport by an Imvelo Safari Lodges representative and transferred to Imvelo Little Gorges Luxury Tented Lodges.  This is a truly superior way to enjoy Victoria Falls and it’s activities.

Set atop the spectacular Gorge you will have dramatic views from your balcony.

At sunset gather at the Little Gorges lodge for the Verreaux Eagles feeding experience.  Then it’s off to the main lodge for an exciting traditional dance experience and dinner under the stars.

Day 2 - Victoria Falls Experiences

Today you get to visit one of the wonders of the world, the mighty Victoria Falls.

Zimbabwe is the best side to see the falls as the sightseeing path traverses much of it’s 1.7km’s.

Depending on your want you can continue your adventures with some whitewater rafting, take a dip in the Devils Pool on the edge of the falls or transfer back to the lodge for a relaxing walk and rest to a local spring or Gorge walk.

Day 3 - Elephant Express Tramcar Transfer to Hwange National Park

This morning you drive 2 hours to the small down of Dete on the border of Hwange National Park.  Hwange is Zimbabwe’s larges National Park and Africa’s 3rd largest national park.

At Dete you will be met at the train station by the happy local school children to sing you on your way on the antique and romantic Elephant Express tramcar.  The tramcar travels for 2 -3 hours on the National rail line and you’ll have a lot of fun whilst starting to spot game on journey.

You will finally arrive at Imvelo Bomani which is set on concession land on the edge of Hwange National Park.  You feel right in the heart of safari country as you enjoy dinner and then drinks under the stars around the firepit.

Day 4 - Safari Hwange National Park

Today you enjoy Safari drives through Hwange National Park and the surrounding concession areas.

Imvelo’s guides spread out around the park scouting for the best animal encounters and keep each other informed for maximum results.

Full of Elephants and amazing birdlife you should also easily spot Giraffes, Impala, Lions, Jackals, Wildebeest and much much more before retiring to your luxury tented lodge at Bomani Lodge ready for a morning safari walk the next day.

Day 5 - Transfer to Imvelo Nehimba for Elephant close encounter experience

Starting before breakfast the highly qualified Zimbabwean guides will take you on a very interesting walking safari.  Imvelo’s guides need 7 years experience and past numerous tasks and tests before qualifying to lead walking safaris.

You will get insights in to tracking and the habits of the local animals and bird life.  You never know who you will come across in the morning.

After breakfast you begin the transfer to Imvelo Nehimba deep in Hwange National Park, searching for safari game as you transfer.

The evening brings on one of the great animal encounters of Africa.  Despite their being a large waterhole 150 metres from the lodge, the Elephants have discovered the water in the main lodges pool is much more palatable and pleasurable.  These discerning giants come out of the night like giant ghosts and you will be within arms length as they enjoy the water while you dine and watch.
