DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

On your first day in Uganda our tour representative will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your Hotel in Entebbe/Kampala. Depending on the time of arrival, your guide will take you on a city tour around Kampala. Places to visit include, Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the Uganda Museum and the African Craft Village.

Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 2: Depart for Murchison Falls National Park 

Start your day by having a heavy breakfast at your Hotel in Kampala. The guide will then come and pick you up and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park which is Uganda’s largest park. The park is a habitat for animals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and a variety of antelopes.

En route, you will visit the famous Luweero Triangle and also stop over for lunch in Masindi Town. Proceed and reach the famous Murchison Falls National Park and the magnificent falls which the park gets its famous name from. Upon arrival, Visit the Top of the falls where water thunders through different rapids from a 7-metre gap to fall over 40 meters Gorge below. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 3: Game drive and launch cruise along the Albert Nile

Today you will have an early rise and an early breakfast and proceed for a game drive on the Northern Bank of River Nile. The activity takes about 3-5 hours and Wildlife in the Park includes elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, hartebeest, Uganda kobs, oribis and waterbucks.

After the drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a launch cruise on the Albert Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork.

DAY 4: Transfer to Semuliki National Park

You will wake up early in the morning and start on your long journey to Semuliki National Park. You will pass Via Masindi and Hoima. You will have your lunch enroute to the Park. You will reach the park headquarters in the late afternoon where you will register and later check into your lodge.

Late evening, you will go on a night game drive and search for wildlife species such as the slender mongoose, serval cats, white tailed mongoose and diminutive genet. Semuliki National Park is the only Park in Uganda where one can go on the night game drive. Return to your accommodation late night for an overnight stay.

DAY 5: Boat Cruise and Shoe bill on Lake Albert

Early in the morning after a cup of tea, you will be briefed by your driver guide about the activities of the day and driven for a boat cruise. After this you will set out for Lake Albert for bird spotting one of the biggest birds the Shoebill, not to be missed in this beautiful cool rain forest.

Apart from Shoebills the forest also has other varieties of bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will visit the hot springs of Sempaya and the pygmies. In the evening transfer to Kibale forest National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, you will set out for chimp tracking with in the Kibale Forest. During your search, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bush pig and duiker, lions, warthogs, reptiles and amphibians as well as a colourful variety of butterflies. Return to the Lodge for lunch.

After lunch go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area and look out for most of the water loving bird species. The Forest /Park has almost 335 species of birds and therefore a good place for birders. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay as above.

DAY 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3-4 hours)

Early in the morning after breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park reaching the park Headquarters at Mweya. Prepare and go for a game drive in the Northern crater area where there is a lot of dark holes called the black craters with no water. You may be able to see a lot of animal species such as the elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, monkeys such as the black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, patus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and the blue monkeys. Other animals that can be seen are the bush pigs and warthogs, antelopes such as the topi, water and bush bucks.

Return late in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 8: Game drive and Launch cruise

Early in the morning go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi area which is well known as the Cobs mating grounds and therefore in this place one is able to see a lot of Cobs and other antelopes like the situnga as well as hyenas. Other animals can also be spotted such as the elephants, lions, and many more. This takes 2-3 hours.

Return to the camp for lunch and in the afternoon go for a Launch Cruise on the Kazinga Channel. You may be able to see a lot of crocodiles along the channels banks, a lot of the hippopotamus since in Africa this place is regarded as the highest concentration of the hippos, elephants taking water and a lot of bird species at the pelican point. Return for dinner and overnight stay late in the evening at your accommodation.

DAY 9: Game drive & transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (4-5 hours)

This morning you will set out for the game drive in Ishasha area and expect to see the rare tree climbing lions. The lions can be seen up on the fig trees. However it’s not a guarantee that the lions will be seen as they are sometimes shy. Sometimes it depends on the luck and time of reaching the area. You will have lunch in the Ishasha sector and after you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in preparation for your next day Gorilla trek. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 10: Gorilla Trek in Bwindi Forest Park

Early morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, set off for gorilla trekking. This is a once life time experience and unforgettable adventure. The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1 hour. The activity can take 6-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awesome and exciting moment.

Enroute there are chimpanzees and other primates such as the monkeys, birds and so more. Return for dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will go for a guided nature walk in the forest. This walk takes about 2-3 hours. You will later travel to Kabale and to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 12: Full day at Lake Bunyonyi

You will spend the whole day at Lake Bunyonyi enjoying the surroundings. This will include taking a boat ride around the lake and also community walk to the Batwa Village. Return for dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

You will start your day with early morning breakfast and after you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, en route visit Great lakes museum You will reach Mbarara town in time for lunch after which you will enter the Park with a game drive en route which will give you clear views of animals such as zebras, buffaloes and elands.

Upon reaching the park headquarters, register and later go for the evening nature walk along the Kigambara Loop. This loop offers interesting guided walks alongside the Lake. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 14: Hyena walk and transfer back to Kampala

Early morning you will have breakfast and after go for the hyena walk with in the Park. This is a guided walk and you will be escorted by an official from the Uganda Wildlife Authority for security purposes, and to provide you with more information about the Park and the trail. Start on your journey to Kampala with Lunch enroute.

You will also make a stopover at the Equator at Kayabwe for water experiments and photographs as well as at Royal drum Village at Mpambire for souvenirs. Proceed to Entebbe or Kampala for dinner and overnight rest at your accommodation.

DAY 15: Departure

Have your breakfast at the Hotel and depending on the time of departure, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
