DAY 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

You will begin your Uganda safari with and early breakfast at your hotel in Kampala early morning, after you will be picked up by your guide who will transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park via Mubende. This is found in the South-western districts of Kibale and Kamwenge and Mubende districts.

Have a stopover at Mityana for lunch. Then continue in the afternoon where you will have a chance to view the striking panorama of the area. Visit the Fort portal town in the afternoon and also visit the Toro King’s Place. Proceed to Kibale for check in at your Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Primates Lodge or Ndali Lodge for Luxury/ Kibale forest Lodge for Mid range/ chimpanzee guest house for Budget.

DAY 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, you will set out for chimp tracking within the Kibale Forest. During your search, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bush pig and duiker, lions, warthogs, reptiles and amphibians as well as a colourful variety of butterflies.

Return to the Lodge for lunch. After lunch go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area and look out for most of the water loving bird species. The forest /Park has almost 335 species of birds and therefore a good place for birders.

Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

DAY 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will leave Kibale forest National Park and head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the second largest Park in Uganda. En route you will be rewarded with a game drive which will give you clear views of animals such as lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas and a variety of antelopes.

Check in into your lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon, go for a 3 hours launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge.

The cruise also offers good platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge/ Jacana safari Lodge for Luxury or Enganzi Lodge/Hippo Hill camp for midrange or Simba safari camp/Mweya Hostels for budget.

DAY 4: Game drive and Launch cruise

Today you wake up early and have a light breakfast then set off for the game drive in search for early risers in the Kasenyi area. The park has diverse eco-system of grassy plains, rivers, crater lakes, forests, swamps and lakes. These are a home to various types of wildlife and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth will reward you with views of animals such as lions, leopards, forest hogs, buffalos, elephants, waterbuck, Uganda Cobs and other types of antelopes.

Return to your Lodge for lunch and after, go for a 3 hours launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. DAY 5: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park

This morning you will set out for the game drive in Ishasha area and expect to see the rare tree climbing lions. The lions can be seen up on the fig trees. However it’s not a guarantee that the lions will be seen. Sometimes it depends on the luck and time of reaching the area.

You will have lunch in the Ishasha sector and after you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park in preparation for your next day Gorilla trek. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Homestead /Gorilla Santuary camp/Trackers Safari Camp for Luxury, Haven/Mantana Engangi Bwindi Lodge for mid range or Buhoma community Bandas/Bwindi View bandas for budget and back packers.

DAY 6: Gorilla trek in Bwindi forest Park

Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, set off for the gorilla tracking. This is a once life time experience and unforgettable adventure.

The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about1hour. The activity can take 6-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awe some and exciting moment.  Enroute there are a lot of chimpanzees and other types of the primates such as the monkeys, birds and so more.

Return for dinner and overnight stay at your selected lodge above.

DAY 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Very early in the morning, you will take your breakfast and then drive to Lake Mburo National Park.  Have Lunch in Mbarara town and after you will enter the Park with a game drive enroute which will enable you to see animals like zebras, topes, elephants, elands, impalas, buffaloes and antelopes.

Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana luxury tented for Luxury or Arcadia cottages for mid range or Rwonyo campsite for Budget.

DAY 8: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala

Early morning, you will go for game drive and search for early risers and all other animals that you missed out in the previous game drive. Return to the Lodge for refreshments and later transfer to Kampala with Lunch enroute.

You will also make a stopover at Equator at Kayabwe for water experiments and photographs, Royal drum Village at Mpambire for souvenirs.

Proceed to Kampala in the evening. Drop off will be at your Hotel in Kampala

DAY 9: Kampala City Tour and Jinja River Nile Water Rafting

After breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, will give you a chance to have a city tour to the famous Kasubi Tombs of the Kabaka kings, Uganda museum, Bahai temple and Namugongo Martyrs shrine where 22 Christian convicts were killed during the reign of Kabaka Mwanga in 1886 (King of Buganda).

At mid-day you will transfer to Jinja for white water rafting at the source of the River Nile. Dinner and Over night in Jinja.

Day 10: Departure

Have your breakfast at the Hotel and depending on the time of departure, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. Or relax in Jinja and tour Jinja Town.
