Imvelo Little Gorges is also a concession camp, meaning the land is leased from the local communities and they also benefit from royalties and employment.  You can feel the welcomes and difference.

Watch the Vereaux Eagles experience in the evening, then watch a stunning sunset followed by a night of exciting African hospitality with local traditional dancers and dinner under the stars.

A tremendous way to get ready for your Victoria Falls spectacular tomorrow.

Day 2 - Imvelo Little Gorges Tented Lodge and Victoria Falls Experience

After a hearty breakfast watching the sun rise over the Gorge from your luxury tent the Imvelo team will transfer you to the majestic Victoria Falls.

The Zimbabwe side is the best side to visit as you get to walk and experience almost the entire 1.7km length and witness the mighty Zambesi plunge through numerous gaps almost 100 metres below you.  You get the feeling of what it must of been like for Dr Livingstone when he first past eyes on this wonder.

After walking the falls you get to take in the falls from an entirely different view with a “Flight of Angels” airplane or helicopter ride.  Flying over the falls give you an incredible perspective of the size and impact like no other way.

Day 3 - Imvelo Little Gorges Tented Lodge Activities Day

Today you get your choice of activities.

For the more adventurous why not Whitewater Raft the Zambesi or hangout at the Devil’s Pool and look over the edge of Victoria Falls.

For a more peaceful day you could chose a guided walk to the nearby springs or a community school visit or take a stroll to the bottom of the Gorge to rivers edge.

Then it’s your final night of great hospitality under the stars ready for the Safari adventure of a lifetime in Zimbabwe’s largest National Park, Hwange National Park.

Day 4 - Imbelo Bomani Hwange NP via Elephant Express Transfer

Butch and the Imvelo Team make sure every camp is a different experience.  In line with that philosophy and his “can do” innovative spirit Butch built a tramcar called the Elephant Express which rides the Zimbabwe National Railroad to your next camp.

After 2 hours by road you arrive at the small town of Dete.  Here you get a royal welcome to the Elephant Express by local school children and then begins 2 hours of enjoyable “partying” all aboard this unique heritage vehicle.  On the way you will get a meal and plenty of drinks whilst spotting game as you go.

In the afternoon you will arrive at Imvelo Bomani tented lodge which again is on community concession land but right in the middle of Safari land.  This camp is more authentic and isolated.  You feel a part of nature and even thought it’s glamping you know you are camping in the wild.

Dinner and then drinks around the fire pit makes all the worries of the world float away.

Day 5 - Imvelo Bomani and Safari Hwange National Park

After a breakfast around the fire, spend the rest of the day exploring the incredible Hwange National Park.

Home to huge numbers of animal and bird species it’s particularly good for Elephants and Giraffes, but you are more than likely to spot Lions, Wildebeest, Jackals, Zebra, Impala, tremendous birding and much much more.

Butch and his team of expert guides spread out around Hwange National Park and the neighboring concession area and keep each other informed so if there’s any action nearby you have the best possible chance to capture it.

For those who like a really hands on experience, you can take a pump run with a Bomani guides.  Imvelo is responsible for 8 waterholes and the and their attendants need servicing.  You can even experience photography from a “HIDE (sunken bunker)” at one of the waterholes and a sundowner experience on the way back to camp.

Take a night drive for a unique experience you’ll remember.

Day 6 - Morning Safari Walk at Imvelo Bomani then transfer to Imvelo Nehimba

Before breakfast take a Morning Safari Walk with an expert guide.  Only the most experienced and qualified guides are used and will give you such a unique and educational experience of the local flora, fauna and ecosystems.

Then it’s on Safari again as you transfer via vehicle to Imvelo Nehimba. Depending on how much game you see along the way it can be a 2-4 hour transfer.

Imvelo Nehimba has a huge waterhole 100 metres from camp, but the local elephants have learnt that the water is cleaner in the pool at the main lodge and each night like giant ghosts out of the dark emerge to drink from the pool just metres from where you will be having dinner.  It’s one of the great wildlife encounters in Africa.

Day 7 - Imvelo Nehimba Safari Hwange National Park

Safari with Imvelo’s expert guides and why not take a morning walking safari or relax on your veranda as you watch the animals sip from the nearby waterhole.

Day and Night Game Drives are available for you and of course another night of experiencing the Elephants up close and personal at the lodge pool.

The grounds abound with monkeys, impala and other small wildlife and the main luxury lodge serves stunning dinners whilst you watch the sun go down over the mighty Zambesi.

But not before you take a sundowner canoe experience down the Zambesi River itself.  This is a lot of fun and the level of difficulty is quite low.

Day 9 - Morning Safari Walk, Game Drive and Sunset Drift Cruise Imvelo Zambesi Sands

Start the day early with an educational and interesting morning Safari Walk along the Zambesi.  Birdlife in abundance and you never know what other animals you will encounter or see signs of.   Then enjoy a full cooked breakfast in bush before going on a game drive.

After returning to lodge for a relaxing afternoon take a Sunset Drift Cruise along the Zambesi.  The boat will take you up current and then simply drift back down the river as you spot game and experience the sun setting for your last night in Zimbabwe.

A romantic dinner under the stars before retiring to your luxury tented lodge.

Day 10 - Morning Game Drive, transfer to Livingstone Airport
